The third MotoGP race of the season was the third stop on the Magic Moments of Poker tour. bwin poker players experienced the most exciting racing series on two wheels up close and personal at the Gran Premio bwin.com de España in Jerez. The “bwin Poker in the Sky” platform marked the “high” light of this racing weekend in the truest sense of the word: the bwin poker players played 50 meters above the racing circuit! And they were right at the heart of the action at the race track, too. They got to meet up with MotoGP stars such as Loris Capirossi, had an exclusive tour of the pits and a visit to the starting grid before the race. Host of this racing weekend in Jerez was former motorbike racer Randy Mamola. The seven winners of the online qualifiers for each event will be accompanied by camera teams and will star in their very own Magic Moments of Poker show. A million-strong audience around the globe will be keeping close tabs on each player’s performance at the televised poker table.

At each one of these unforgettable Magic Moments of Poker events, one player will qualify for the Grand Final in Vienna. There, the winner will walk away with bwin Poker team membership. This means all-inclusive packages for major international poker tournaments such as the WSOP or WPT.

With the Gran Premio bwin.com de España just around the corner MotoGP riders tested their nerves off the racetrack.

Exclusive photos from today’s stunning “Poker in the Sky” tournament are now online.

Headed by racing legend Randy Mamola, an international selection of high-flying MotoGP riders went up on the “bwin Poker in the Sky” Platform today to show off their poker skills at a height of 50 metres above the racetrack.

The riders were the first to play at this adventurous location, which is already attracting MotoGP fans, poker players and TV-stations from all over Europe.

The poker tournament was organized by Dorna Sports together with bwin, and the following riders participated: Randy De Puniet (France) from the LCR Honda Team, Alex De Angelis (San Marino) from the San Carlo Honda Gresini Team, Marco Melandri (Italy) from the Hayate Racing Team, Yuki Takahashi (Japan) from the Scot Racing Team, Mika Kallio (Finland) and Niccolò Canepa (Italy) from Pramac Racing.
